South and Midlands Key Clients and Business Overview

The South & Midlands Business Unit (BU) is led by Donna Kelly.  Geographically the BU spans from the Midlands to Cornwall and across the country from Wales to Suffolk.

Made up of three sectors: Shell, HR Solutions and Metros – the BU covers a wide range of industries including; oil and gas, local government and health and construction.

Some example case studies/clients include:

We have supported global energy company Shell for over twenty years across several geographies and businesses.

We  deliver an end-to-end fuel payments system that enables Shell’s customers to manage their commercial fleets across the world. Shell has also been working in partnership with our teams to take digital transformation to the next level with a state-of-the-art online fleet management solution that delivers the best possible experience for its customers whether they manage a fleet of 5 or 5,000 vehicles.  We have worked closely with the team at Shell to design a single self-service portal that can be tailored to the needs of Shell’s staff and customers, without the expense of developing a brand new solution from scratch.

NHS Trusts

We work with Plymouth NHS Trust, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, South Maudsley NHS Trust and Oxford NHS Foundation Trust implementing e-Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) solutions.

e-Prescribing helps clinicians, nursing staff and consultants increase the safety around prescribing and medicines management, introducing efficiencies and improving patient experience. Take a look at our video from Musgrove Park Hospital to find out more about how we worked with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

North Wales Police

North Wales Police and CGI are working together on a community programme to support local initiatives and improve the quality of life for residents. The programme supports projects helping all areas of the community including young people, families, vulnerable citizens and the elderly.

Taylor Wimpey

CGI worked with Taylor Wimpey to help them transform into a truly digital workplace, with the flexibility and agility to support the business now and in the future.  The Digital Workplace programme gave Taylor Wimpey a complete overhaul of their IT assets, no disruption to the day-to-day business and full mobility for their workforce.

Payroll Services

With over 200 clients, we are trusted by many of the UK’s largest public sector and commercial organisations to deliver managed payroll services efficiently, accurately and cost-effectively.  Our clients include; Ordnance Survey, Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh, London Institute of Banking and Finance, Providence Equity and The Original London Sightseeing Company.  Each year in the UK we process over £18 billion in salary payments, paying 68% of civil servants and over 60% of central government employees.
