Jay, what’s your current role, what does a typical day look like for you?
Junior Developer. I work in an agile development environment, so I work on user stories to create/fix/change different parts of the product. I mainly code in React and Java.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of CGI?
The benefits are great, especially the share purchase plan. The project I am currently on have great people and they all create an environment that is nice to work in.
What would be your top tip for someone considering joining CGI?
Get involved with the team and project, not just work but other interests such as a sport. I joined in with basketball from the first week and it allowed me to get to know people on the project much quicker.
And finally why did you choose CGI for your graduate role?
I wanted to be a developer, and work for a large IT business that would allow me to advance my technical knowledge and be able to support me with a decent pay/benefits.
